Late Conor Mackle goals earns Maghery a replay

With time almost up Maghery seemed to be on their way out of this season’s Armagh SFC at Abbey Park when up popped Conor Mackle with a fisted goal to keep their hopes of winning a first-ever SFC title alive.
Final score Maghery 1-11 v Carrickcruppen 2-8.
An early goal from Paul Keenan boosted the Camlough sides hopes and with Paul Keenan in fine scoring form – he landed some great points – they were ahead at the interval 1-7 to 0-6 – with Paul Forker getting the most of the Maghery scores.
Carrickcruppen only added three scores in the second-half, but an early goal from Peter Loughran had them looking good for the win. The Maghery side battled away with points from Paul and Conor Forker, and were then rewarded with the late Mackle goal that gave them a replay.
